Steward's Report
Stewards spoke to Mr. N. Hunt, the trainer of Killana, regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Killana last raced on 18/9/18. Mr. Hunt stated that the greyhound was returning to racing following a change of kennel. Mr. Hunt also declared a new weight of 24.8kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Killana last raced at 25.9kg.
Rosie Yaala was quick to begin. Renshaw Avenue went up with the lids at box rise and lost ground.
Gendarme crossed to the rail on the first turn, severely checking Jargon Jimmy and causing Got The Edge to fall. Rosie Yaala faltered entering the home straight and tailed off.
Got The Edge was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the right back and triangle muscles. A 10-day standdown period was imposed.
