Mum's The Word was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Stewards spoke to Ms Elise Knott, the trainer of Special Drop regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Special Drop last raced on 2nd September 2018. Ms Knott stated that the greyhound was returning after a seasonal spell.
