Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from Cyril Figgis.
Cyril Figgis and Charlie Cockatoo were slow to begin.
Cyril Figgis and Theo's Thunder collided soon after the start. Theo's Thunder, Charlie Cockatoo and Dyna Alia collided approaching the first turn, checking Charlie Cockatoo. Cyril Figgis, Charlie Cockatoo and Dyna Alia collided on the first turn, checking Cyril Figgis, Dyna Alia and Dyna Eva and severely checking Charlie Cockatoo. Cyril Figgis and Dyna Eva collided approaching the second turn, checking Dyna Eva. Cyril Figgis checked off Dyna Alia on the second turn. Dyna Eva marred Cyril Figgis in the home straight.
Dyna Eva was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right back muscle injury. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr Jake Collins, the representative for the greyhound Dyna Eva regarding the greyhounds racing manners in th home straight. Acting under GAR 69(1) stewards charged Dyna Eva with marring. Mr Collins pleaded guilty to the charge, Dyna Eva was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at The Meadows and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
