Steward's Report
A pre race sample was taken from Full Tilt.
Mystery Jet was slow to begin.
Full Tilt and Major Innings collided soon after the start. Mystery Jet eased soon after the start and pulled up approaching the first turn. Mepunga Prue and Dyna Xerox collided approaching the first turn. Mepunga Prue, Dyna Xerox and Rappa Flash collided on the first turn, checking all three greyhounds. Lylah's Way and Major Innings collided approaching the second turn, checking Lylah's Way which collided with Full Tilt.. Dyna Xerox and Rappa Flash collided on the second turn. Lylah's Way and Full Tilt collided on the third turn. Dyna Xerox and Rappa Flash collided on the third turn. Rappa Flash checked off Full Tilt approaching the home turn.
Stewards spoke to Mr Michael Carter, the trainer of the greyhound Mystery Jet regarding the greyhounds racing manners soon after the start. Mystery Jet was vetted and re-vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to both shoulder muscles, a 10 day stand down period was imposed. Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged Mystery Jet with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr Carter pleaded guilty to the charge, Mystery Jet was found guilty and stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.
