Steward's Report
Stewards spoke to Mr. J. Donnelly, the trainer of Rube's Ablaze regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Rube's Ablaze last raced on 23rd February 2018. Mr. Donnelly stated that the greyhound has been coursing for the last two months.
A pre-race sample was taken from Furtado.
St. Pauli was quick to begin.
Dragonstone and Furtado were slow to begin.
Dragonstone and Furtado collided soon after the start checking Dragonstone. Rube's Ablaze, Styles and Foxy Molly collided soon after the start. Rube's Ablaze and Foxy Molly collided approaching the first turn checking Rube's Ablaze and Styles. Foxy Molly and St. Pauli collided on the first turn checking Foxy Molly, Furtado, St. Pauli, Rube's Ablaze and Styles. Styles appeared to change stride approaching the winning post and lost ground.
Styles was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
