Stewards spoke to Mr S. Kyriacopoulos, the trainer of the greyhound New Beginings regarding the greyhounds racing manners on the first turn. Acting under GAR 69(1) stewards charged New Beginings with marring. Mr Kyriacopoulos pleaded guilty to the charge, New Beginings was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Warragul and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Candy Rose was slow to begin.

Satisfactory Trial Results - Woody's My Name trialled over the 400mtrs from box 2, weight 29.7kgs, the greyhound was placed 3rd in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 22.87, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 9 1/2 lengths.  Woody's My Name was Cleared.

Satisfactory Trial Results (GAR 77A) - Stewards spoke to Mr R. Redenbach, the trainer of New Lass regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced.  New Lass last raced on 31 January 2018 and is returning from seasonal. Pursuant to GAR 77A, New Lass trialled over the 400mtrs from box 1, weight 30.2kgs, the greyhound was placed 2nd in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 22.87, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 5 3/4 lengths.  New Lass was Cleared.
