Super Spolly was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a tail injury, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Baby Houseman was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a left metacarpal and left calf injury and a laceration to the left hind thigh, a 21 day stand down period was imposed.

Molly Spolly was quick to begin.  Edna Betts and Bela Natali were slow to begin.  Dark Layali crossed in soon after the start checking Tonking Home, Edna Betts and Dr. Chella.  Tonking Home and Aston Narita collided on the first turn checking Tonking Home.  Bela Natali and Edna Betts collided on the first turn checking both greyhounds.  Dr. Chella and Tonking Home  collided on the home turn checking Dr. Chella.

Manners A Miss was a late scratching at 17:57 on the advice of the Club's Veterinary Surgeon due to a papilloma on the right hind foot.  A 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Little Tonka, Run Mon Manny and Got Some Zip were quick to begin.  Zipping Clover and Lil' Miss Willow were slow to begin.  Sideshow Marjen and Run Mon Manny collided approaching the first turn checking Run Mon Manny.  Run Mon Manny and Zipping Clover collided on the first turn.

Mr. T. Whitford, trainer of Doc Meaney declared a new weight of 33.0kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2).  Doc Meaney last raced at 31.8kgs.

Super Fay, Doc Meaney and Monsal Flyer were slow to begin.  Dr. Mianda, Perfect Empire, Fab Creates and Monsal Flyer collided approaching the first turn checking Super Fay and Secret Rama.  Super Fay and Secret Rama collided on the first turn checking Secret Rama.  Secret Rama checked off Doc Meaney on the home turn.

One More Light was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a spike wound to the left hind foot, a 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Akina Dee Jay was quick to begin.  Thumb A Ride and Zipping Bomber collided soon after the start checking Zipping Bomber.  Thumb A Ride and Zipping Bomber collided approaching the first turn.  Blusain Bolt and Zipping Bomber collided on the first turn checking Bar King Buddy and severely checking Zipping Bomber which fell as a result.  Fourth Dimention checked off Tram Tracker on the second turn.

Zipping Bomber was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Jacey Allen, Lottie Glenda and Mega Hazel were quick to begin.  Zinda Neveelk and Lethal Lomar collided approaching the first turn checking Lethal Lomar and Doused In Mud.  Lethal Lomar and Doused In Mud collided on the first turn checking Lethal Lomar.  Zinda Neveelk checked off Mega Hazel in the back straight.  Jacey Allen and Moneypenny collided on the third turn checking Jacey Allen.

Dr. Leonard was a late scratching at 17:26 due to weight variation (GAR 39).  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.  Trainer Mr. W. McMahon was fined the sum of $100.

Dr. Condor was slow to begin.  Slick Maggie and Charly Shu Shine collided soon after the start checking both greyhounds.  Slick Maggie and Charly Shu Shine collided approaching the first turn checking Slick Maggie.  Charly Shu Shine faltered approaching the second turn and subsequently tailed off.

Charly Shu Shine was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right back muscle injury, a 21 day stand down period was imposed.

I'm The Poppet and Spot On Cinta were quick to begin.  Grande Fratello, Sunny's Kayo and Shanlyn Dolly were slow to begin.  Sunny's Kayo and Extreme Summer collided soon after the start checking Sunny's Kayo.  Grande Fratello and Extreme Summer collided on the first turn checking Extreme Summer, Sunny's Kayo, Owlette and Shanlyn Dolly.  It's A Thrill and Spot On Cinta collided on the second turn checking both greyhounds.  Spot On Cinta checkd off It's A thrill approaching the third turn.  Extreme Summer and Owlette collided on the third turn.

Stewards spoke to handler Mrs. K. Ralph regarding her difficulty in boxing the greyhound Shanlyn Dolly.  Stewards directed that Shanlyn Dolly be boxed first in future events.

Stewards spoke to Mr. W. Read after the greyhound Wild Angel was placed in the incorrect kennel during the kennelling process.  Mr. Read was issued with a warning and reminded when kennelling he ensures greyhounds are kennelled in accordance with kennel procedure.

Stewards spoke to kennel attendant, Miss. Meg Morris after the greyhound Wild Angel was placed in the incorrect kennel during the kennelling process.  Miss Morris was reminded of her responsibilities and asked to ensure that all greyhounds be correctly kennelled in future.  This matter was referred to the Club Manager for further consideration.

Galester Hook was quick to begin.  Lucas Rose and Mallee Spring were slow to begin.  Wild Angel and Milla Rose collided on the first turn checking Wild Angel.  Galloping Leo and Milla Rose collided entering the back straight checking both greyhounds.  Paisley galloped on Galloping Leo in the back straight checking Wild Angel.

Silvgne Cubed was quick to begin.  Flywheel Alfie and Ruby's Image collided soon after the start checking Flywheel Alfie.  Gotcha Mate and Lightning Boxy collided on the first turn checking Lightning Boxy and Poor Old Frank.  Daintree Dynamo and Ruby's Image collided entering the back straight checking Ruby's Image.

Poor Old Frank was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a torn nail left hind leg, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Able Bess and All About Arby were quick to begin.  Midnight Memphis and Cosmic Nosey collided approaching the first turn checking Midnight Memphis.  Cosmic Nosey and Our Echo Rose collided on the first turn checking Cosmic Nosey.  Our Echo Rose and Soap collided entering th back straight checking Soap.  Our Echo Rose galloped on All About Arby in the back straight.  Our Echo Rose and Soap collided approaching the third turn checking Soap.

MEETING COMMENTS:

Satisfactory Trial Results (GAR 77A) - Stewards spoke to Mr. M. Clarke, the trainer of  Pancake regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced.  Pancake last raced on 23rd March 2018.  Mr. Clarke stated that the greyhound was returning to racing after a right back muscle injury.  Pursuant to GAR 77A Pancake trialled over the 395m from box 1, weight 27.0kgs, the greyhound was placed 1st in a field of 4.  The time of the trial was 22.80,  the greyhound won by a margin of 3.50 lengths.  Pancake was Cleared.
