Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from Chucka Khan.
Oh So Rowdy was slow to begin.
Pure Cool Titan checked off Chucka Khan on the first turn. Thomeli Skip and Oh So Rowdy collided approaching the home turn and again on the home turn. Chcuka Khan turned its head outwards and made muzzle contact with Magic Trap in the home straight.
Chucka Khan underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left hind back muscle injury. A 10 day standdown period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Ms. Fleur Terry, the trainer of Chucka Khan, regarding the greyhound’s racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(1) Chucka Khan was charged with marring. Ms. Terry pleaded guilty to the charge, Chucka Khan is suspended for 28 days at Warrnambool and must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
