So Like Sooty, Alpine Cowboy and Tanjil Ace were slow to begin.  Larkhill County was very slow to begin (3 lengths).  Alpine Cowboy crossed in on the first turn checking Delta's Tiara, Larkhill County and So Like Sooty, severely checking Gruff Rose and Beauty To Behold.  Tanjil Ace checked off Larkhill County on the home turn.

Valencia Gem - Late scratching at 04:36pm due to incorrect greyhound being presented to race.  In accordance with local rule 49.1, Stewards charged Mr. Lindsay Fulford with failing to present the correct greyhound (Valencia Gem) at kennelling. A $250 fine was imposed.

Queen Of Sprite was slow to begin.  Splinter and Hird From Bucks collided on the first turn checking Splinter.  Straitline Willy clipped the heels of Hird From Bucks on the home turn checking Hird From Bucks.

Where's Lachie - Performed a Stewards Satisfactory Trial as the greyhound was stood down from racing at Cranbourne for an Unsatisfactory Performance (GAR 71).  Weighing 36.1kgs and beginning from box 8, Where's Lachie completed the 440m trial distance in a time of 27.32.  Where's Lachie placed 4th in a field of 4 beaten by 13.75 lengths.    Where's Lachie was not cleared to race due to poor performance.
