Bayonet was slow to begin.
Hey Lonely Girl checked off Lektra Fireball approaching the first turn. Supercross and Lektra Rainbow collideed on the first turn, checking Supercross which lost ground and tailed off as a result. Bayonet checked off Supercross on the first turn. Lektra Rainbow, Lektra Fireball, Hey Lonely Girl and Neptune Allen collided on the first turn checking all greyhounds. Bayonet and Neptune Allen collided approaching the home turn. Bayonet checked off Lektra Rainbow approaching the winning post.
Supercross was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right back muscle injury, a 28 day stand down period was imposed.
