Stewards spoke to Mr C.Newman, the trainer of Better Way and issued him with a warning after he failed to appear at the kennels by the appointed time to retrieve the greyhound for racing.

A sample was taken from Popowski, winner of the event.

Kraken Roger was a late scratching at 12:50pm due to a right wrist injury (GAR 23).  A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted. Stewards spoke to the trainer Mr R.Clark via telephone regarding the late scratching of the greyhound. Mr Clark stated that prior to scratching time this morning that he checked the greyhound and was fit to race. Prior to leaving for the race meeting the greyhound had sustained a wrist injury in the empty yard. Stewards noted Mr Clarks' explanation and took no further action.
