Mr Peter Bartlett, trainer of Mayor Goodway declared a new weight of 30.4kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Mayor Goodway last raced at 29.1kg.

Mayor Goodway and Janray Warrior were quick to begin.  Still Quick, Magical Ruby, No Respect, Mrs. Hassle and Krisbar Wee Wow collided soon after the start checking Mrs. Hassle, No Respect and Magical Ruby. Mrs Hassle contacted the rail approaching the first turn and lost ground. Mammoth and Janray Warrior collided on the first turn checking Janray Warrior.  Janray Warrior and Still Quick collided approaching the home turn checking Still Quick, severely checking Janray Warrior which fell.  No Respect checked off the fallen greyhound.

Mrs. Hassle was vetted following the event, no abnormalities were detected.

Janray Warrior was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a fracture to the right foreleg and was humanely euthanased.

A pre race sample was unable to be obtained from Kraken Pennys therefore a post race sample was taken.

The Club Veterinary Surgeon examined Matesy's Girl and no illness was detected.The greyhound was a late scratching at 6.18pm due to weight variation(GAR 39).A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer Justin Heatherton was fined the sum of $100.

Guevara was slow to begin and crossed to the rail soon after the start.  Janray Tigerlily, Kubla De Kahn and Guevara collided on the first turn checking Kubla De Kahn and Guevara.  White Cynder and Speedy Spyro collided on the first turn and again approaching the home turn.  All Inn Roselee checked off Speedy Spyro on the home turn.

Stewards spoke to Mr Aaron Blake, the trainer of Kingsley Boy regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Kingsley Boy last raced on18th June 2018.Mr A Blake stated that the greyhound was returning to racing following a toe amputation.
