Steward's Report
Fawn Regrets was slow to begin. Gotta Wobble Up, Gemilly and Starbright Madie collided soon after the start, checking Gemilly and Starbright Madie. Kraken Jane Babe and Lady Freckles collided on the first turn. Fawn Regrets, Gemilly, Gotta Wobble Up and Lady Freckles collided approaching the home turn, checking Lady Freckles and Gotta Wobble Up. Starbright Madie and Gotta Wobble Up collided on the home turn, checking both greyhounds. Galactic Cat and Kraken Jane Babe collided several times in the home straight. Fawn Regrets and Gemilly collided approaching the winning post.
Stewards spoke to Mr William Hartigan, the trainer of the greyhound Kraken Jane Babe regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight. Kraken Jane Babe was vetted and revetted following event five. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right hindleg triangle injury, a five day stand down period was imposed. Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the Stewards charged Kraken Jane Babe with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr Hartigan pleaded guilty to the charge, Kraken Jane Babe was found guilty and stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.
