Angie was slow to begin.
Dreamliner and Splish Splash collided approaching the first turn. Mel Moran and Acer collided on the first turn checking Acer. Splish Splash and Miss Chelsea collided on the first turn checking Splish Splash. Georgie Porgi and Miss Chelsea collided approaching the home turn. Splish Splash failed to pursue to the lure on the home turn checking Miss Chelsea and Dreamliner. Splish Splash checked off Miss Chelsea in the home straight. Georgie Porgi and Dreamliner collided in the home straight. Darcon Flash raced wide in the home straight.
Splish Splash was vetted and re-vetted following event 6. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
Stewards spoke to Mrs Susan Trim, the trainer of the greyhound Splish Splash regarding the greyhounds racing manners ion the home turn. Acting under GAR 69(A)(1) stewards charged Splish Splash with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mrs Trim pleaded guilty to the charge, Splish Splash was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Warragul and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
Georgie Porgi was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
Stewards issued a warning to Mr Robert Whitford, the trainer of Georgie Porgi regarding the greyhound’s racing manners approaching the home turn.
