Steward's Report
Stewards spoke to Mr Robert Taylor, the trainer of Bronte's Flyer regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Bronte's Flyer last raced on 5 December 2017. Mr Taylor stated that the greyhound was resuming from a left wrist injury.
Big Cam and Bronte's Flyer were slow to begin. Avatar Blaze, Rimfire Dodge and Crymelon Quinn collided soon after the start. Rimfire Dodge and Big Cam collided soon after the start. Rimfire Dodge and Big Cam collided on the first turn, checking both greyhounds. Avatar Blaze checked off Crymelon Quinn on the first turn, checking Big Cam and Bronte's Flyer.
Bronte's Flyer was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right hindleg pencil/whip injury, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.
