The Club Veterinary Surgeon examined Eau Rouge and no illness was detected. The greyhound was a late scratching at 5:16 pm, due to weight variation (GAR 39). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer, Ms Kate Gorman was fined the sum of $100.
Pre-race samples were taken from Ancarian Lancer and Blackjack Cruise.
Hollywood Nights and Blackjack Cruise were slow to begin. Hollywood Nights and Baggy's Request collided on the first turn, checking Hollywood Nights. Blackjack Cruise and Zipping Toto collided on the home turn.
