Steward's Report
Good Luck Mark was a late scratching at 2.24pm due to non-arrival (GAR 31) Car Breakdown. A 28 day stand down period was imposed, pending review upon receiving verification of the breakdown.
A pre-race sample was taken from Rockstar Patriot.
Bonnie Beauty was quick to begin. Zipping Katelyn and Rippin' Sam were slow to begin.
Bonnie Beauty checked off Dyna Dean approaching the second turn. Rockstar Patriot and Zipping Nitro collided on the second turn. Bonnie Beauty visible eased on the third turn checking Rippin' Sam.
Stewards spoke to Mr J. Borg, the trainer of the greyhound Bonnie Beauty regarding the greyhounds racing manners on the third turn. Bonnie Beauty was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained soreness to the right chest, a 7 day stand down period was imposed. Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged Bonnie Beauty with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr J. Borg pleaded guilty to the charge, Bonnie Beauty was found guilty and stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.
