Orleans, Celestial Folk and Varuchi Pass were slow to begin. Lil Miss Earner, Celestial Folk and Fonty Allen collided soon after the start checking Fonty Allen and Celestial Folk. Fonty Allen and Orleans collided approaching the first turn. Aeroplane Indy and Merc collided on the first turn. Celestial Folk raced wide on the first turn. Merc checked off Varuchi Pass in the back straight. Lil Miss Earner raced wide in the home straight.
