Steward's Report
Mahoney Miss was slow to begin. Liberty Tron, Lance Allen and Aston Kirui collided soon after the start checking all three greyhounds. Ronray Legend, Aston Kirui, Liberty Tron, Dyna Francine and Lance Allen collided approaching the first turn checking Dyna Francine, Liberty Tron, Aston Kirui and Ronray Legend. Liberty Tron and Aston Kirui collided on the first turn checking both greyhounds. Mahoney Miss and Pyrenees Inferno collided approaching the third turn checking Mahoney Miss, Pyrenees Inferno and Aston Kirui. Dyna Francine and Lance Allen collided on the home turn.
Pyrenees Inferno was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
Stewards spoke to handler Ms. Nikayla Gray and trainer Mr. Richard Gray regarding Ms. Gray's difficulty boxing Cobber Victorem. Ms. Gray advised Stewards this was only her third time boxing a greyhound on raceday. Taking into account Ms. Gray's inexperience Stewards took no action against Cobber Victorem, however advised Ms. Gray to gain further experience boxing greyhounds before handling on raceday.
A sample was taken from Cobber Victorem, the winner of the event.
