Rimfire Dodge turned in the boxes and took no competitive part in the event.  My Rag Doll galloped on the heels of Avatar Blaze soon after the start, checking both greyhounds.  Shotgun Blast, My Rag Doll and Avatar Blaze collided approaching the first turn.  Shotgun Blast failed to pursue the lure with due committment on the first turn, checking Avatar Blaze and My Rag Doll as a result.

Stewards established that Rimfire Dodge turned in the boxes.  Acting under GAR 52(1) Rimfire Dodge was placed on a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks).

Shotgun Blast was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.  Trainer, Mr Richard Boehm, declined to have Shotgun Blast re-vetted.

Stewards spoke to Mr Richard Boehm, the trainer of the greyhound Shotgun Blast regarding the greyhounds racing manners on the first turn.  Acting under GAR 69(A)(1) Stewards charged Shotgun Blast with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment.  Mr Boehm pleaded guilty to the charge, Shotgun Blast was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Horsham and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Bomber's Baby was slow to begin.  Pyrenees Classic checked off Vukic soon after the start.  Mahjong Heat and Pyrenees Classic collided on the first turn, severely checking Mahjong Heat and Treble Clef.  Bomber's Baby and Adriel collided approaching the home turn, checking Adriel.

A pre-race sample was unable to be obtained from Oh So Rowdy, a post-race sample was subsequently taken.

Spring Me and Eden Lass were slow to begin.  Sneak Preview checked off Oh So Rowdy on the first turn.  Eden Lass checked off Sneak Preview in the home straight.

Stewards spoke to Mr Neville Partridge, the trainer of My Girl Belena, regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  My Girl Belena last raced on 12 January 2018. Mr Partridge stated that the greyhound was returning to racing after being seasonal.

Bourne Blackjack and Snap Loch were slow to begin.  Bombastic Tim and Secret Message collided approaching the first turn.  Telefork and My Girl Belena collided approaching the first turn.  Bourne Blackjack and Bombastic Tim collided on the first turn, checking Bourne Blackjack.  My Girl Belena and Secret Message collided on the first turn, checking My Girl Belena.  Spirit Bar and St Regis collided in the home straight.

Satisfactory Trial Results (GAR 77A) - Stewards spoke to Mr Aaron Blake, the trainer of Kirabilli Dawson regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced.  Kirabilli Dawson last raced on 5 September 2017.  Mr Blake stated that the greyhound was returning to racing following a back muscle injury and being seasonal.  Pursuant to GAR 77A, Kirabilli Dawson trialled over the 410m from box one, weight 27.0 kgs, the greyhound was placed second in a field of four. The time of the trial was 24:34, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of two lengths.  Kirabilli Dawson was Cleared.
