Magic Turner was vetted following the event, after an incident entering the catching pen.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right foreleg radius/ulna fracture, and was humanely euthanased.

Evil Currency was vetted following the event, after cramping in the catching pen.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained cramping to both hindlegs, a seven day stand down period was imposed.

Taxing was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a spike wound to the left hindleg foot, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Calleva was slow to begin.  Platinum Malt, Sweet Gabriella, Our Star and Splish Splash collided soon after the start.  Ball Bearing and Dyna Cadet collided soon after the start.  Platinum Malt and Our Star collided approaching the first turn.  Splish Splash and Sweet Gabriella collided on the first turn, checking Platinum Malt, Dyna Cadet and Sweet Gabriella, severely checking Splish Splash, and causing Calleva and Our Star to collide and race wide.  Dyna Cadet and Sweet Gabriella collided approaching the winning post.

Mr John Jarkis was fined the sum of $50 for failing to ensure registration card were produced for the greyhound Penny Rocks pursuant to GAR 33.

Aladdin Prince was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a left hind back muscle injury, a five day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr Darren Archer, the trainer of Miss Gracie, regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Miss Gracie last raced on 10 November 2017.  Mr Archer stated that the greyhound was returning to racing following a change of trainer and being seasonal.

Miss Gracie was quick to begin.  Lost Blue checked off Riccarton approaching the first turn.  Willy Mays Hayes, Yangtze, Minnie Wizard and Really Magic collided on the first turn, checking Yangtze, Minnie Wizard and Really Magic.

Stewards spoke to Mr Michael Niele, the trainer of Snow Osti, regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Snow Osti last raced on 1 December 2107.  Mr Niele stated that the greyhound was returning to racing after being seasonal.

Stewards spoke to Mr Michael Niele, the trainer of Angel Cloud, regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Angel Cloud last raced on 14 January 2018.  Mr Niele stated that the greyhound was returning to racing after being seasonal.

Mr Pasquale Derubeis, trainer of Redefined, declared a new weight of 29.2 kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2).  Redefined last raced at 27.9 kgs.

Make It Happen and Redefined collided soon after the start.  Snow Osti, Angel Cloud and Paws And Go collided soon after the start and again approaching the first turn, checking Angel Cloud.  Make It Happen and Redefined collided on the first turn, checking Redefined.  Snow Osti crossed to the outside approaching the home turn, checking Paws And Go, and causing Angel Cloud to race wide.  Beluga Diamond and Magic Myer collided entering the home straight, checking Magic Myer.  

Snow Osti was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
