Steward's Report
Tegxcellent, Brandeen Fi and Shadow Diamond were slow to begin.
Vane Power crossed to the rail soon after the start checking Blue Addiction and Macauliff. Macauliff, Blue Addiction and Brandeen Fi collided approaching the first turn checking Macauilff and Blue Addiction. Tegxcellent, Brandeen Fi and Temujin collided on the first turn checking Brandeen Fi and Temujin. Blue Addiction and Temujin collided on the home turn. Macauilff and Temujin raced wide in the home straight.
Shadow Diamond was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound cramped, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Ms T. Crawford, the handler of the greyhound Shadow Diamond Acting in accordance withGAR 71(Cramp), Stewards directed that the greyhound must perform a Satisfactory Trial before any future nomination will be accepted.
A pre-race sample was unable to be obtained from Temujin so a post-race sample was taken.
MEETING COMMENTS:
Satisfactory Trial Results - Major Think trialled over the 460mtrs from box 1, weight 32.1kgs, the greyhound was placed 2nd in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 26.16, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 1 length. Major Think was Cleared.
Satisfactory Trial Results (GAR 77A) - Stewards spoke to Mr S. Mallia, the trainer of Urana Vee Eight regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced. Urana Vee Eight last raced on 31 May 2017. Mr S. Mallia stated that the greyhound was returning from toe nail injuries on all 4 feet. Pursuant to GAR 77A, Urana Vee Eight trialled over the 460mtrs from box 8, weight 24.9kgs, the greyhound was placed 1st in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 26.16, the greyhound won by a margin of 1 length. Urana Vee Eight was Cleared.
