Steward's Report
Stewards spoke to Mr. T. O.Neill the representative for Flash Intention regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Flash Intention last raced on 25/08/17. Mr. O'Neill stated that the greyhound was returning to racing following an fractured right metatarsal.
A pre-race sample was taken from Flash Intention.
Flash Intention and Serious Secret were slow to begin. Apollo's Twin and Suzy Nitro collided soon after the start and again approaching the first turn severely checking Apollo's Twin which stumbled. Creative Cruise and Dynamic Rainbow collided on the first turn and again approaching the home turn.
Apollo's Twin was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no injury apparent.
Serious Secret was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a split webbing on the left hind foot, a 10 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr. K. Kubik regarding his difficulty in boxing the greyhound Serious Secret. Stewards directed that Serious Secret be boxed first in future events.
