Steward's Report
Wijnaldum was slow to begin. Just Like Didda, Magic Buddie and Natural Rhythm collided soon after the start, checking Just Like Didda and Magic Buddie. Just Like Didda checked off Natural Rhythm on the home turn. Spring Bomber, Anustar and Just Like Didda raced wide in the home straight. Natural Rhythm eased approaching the winning post, checking Wijnaldum.
Stewards spoke to T Salter, the trainer of the greyhound Natural Rhythm regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the winning post. Natural Rhythm was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured left biceps, a 7 day stand down period was imposed. Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged Natural Rhythm with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). T Salter pleaded not guilty to the charge, Natural Rhythm was found guilty and stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.
