Steward's Report
Sargent was slow to begin.
Demon Jesse, Assemble Nitro and Two Seasons collided soon after the start, checking Demon Jesse and Assemble Nitro. Betty La Fae and Two Seasons collided at the 300m mark, checking Betty La Fae. Sargent and Demon Jesse collided at the 300m mark and again at the 250m mark. Sargent checked off Demon Jesse approaching the 200m mark. Sargent checked off Two Seasons at the 200m mark and crossed to the rail.
In Dee Genes was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained no apparent injury. No stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Ms D Winter regarding her difficultiy in boxing the greyhound Rooey for this event. After taking evidence from Ms Winter and taking into account that Stewards had spoken to Ms Winter regarding a similar situation at the Healesville meeting on 1 October, 2017, Stewards directed that Ms Winter not be permitted to handle Rooey in future events and seek the assistance of another registered person to handle the greyhound (GAR 45).
