Steward's Report
Iris Allen was quick to begin. Free Auto, Mahaya and Time Sent collided soon after the start, checking Mahaya. Destini Fortress checked off Time Sent approaching the first turn. Eumeralla Rosie checked off Bakali Louis approaching the second turn. Mahaya and Time Sent collided on the second turn, checking Time Sent. Good Luck Mick checked off Bakali Louis entering the back straight. Free Auto and Bakali Louis collided in the back straight, checking Bakali Louis and Destini Fortress. Time Sent checked off Bakali Louis on the third turn. Destini Fortress and Mahaya raced wide in the home straight.
Bakali Louis, which commenced to tire in the back straight and tailed off, was vetted following the event and after being revetted following race 7, it was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured right monkey muscle, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Ms K Jackson, the handler of the greyhound Bakali Louis. Stewards deemed the performance of Bakali Louis unsatisfactory in this event and acting in accordance with GAR 71, Stewards directed that Bakali Louis must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) before any future nomination will be accepted.
