Not Enough Cash was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained split webbing to the right hind paw. A stand down period of 21 days was imposed.

Larrikan Bozzie was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Stewards reviewed the race footage and spoke with both trainers, Mr. F. Meyer and Mr. C. Taylor.

Stewards spoke to Mr. M. Salvatore, the trainer of Zefron regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Zefron last raced on 3rd September 2017. Mr. Salvatore stated that the greyhound was resuming racing after a change of kennels.

Stewards spoke to Mr. P. McColl, the trainer of Spa Squirtle regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Spa Squirtle last raced on 23rd July 2017. Mr. McColl stated that the greyhound was resuming racing after a spell. Mr. McColl also declared a new weight of 34.8kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Spa Squirtle last raced at 32.8kg.

Shelley Warde trainer of Vincent Benedict declared a new weight of 32.4kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Vincent Benedict last raced at 31.2kg.

Stewards spoke to Mr. P. McColl, the trainer of Mahogany Stedman regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Mahogany Stedman last raced on 3rd September 2017. Mr. McColl stated that the greyhound was resuming racing after a spell. Mr. McColl also declared a new weight of 33.0kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Mahogany Stedman last raced at 32.8kg.

Wynonna Earp and Vincent Benedict collided soon after the start checking Vincent Benedict. Jackie Jai and Doorkeeper collided approaching the first turn. Wynonna Earp and Mahogany Stedman collided on the first turn checking Vincent Benedict and severely checking Mahogany Stedman. Wynonna Earp checked off Spa Squirtle approaching the home turn.

Swift Knockout was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a left wrist sprain. A stand down period of 14 days was imposed.

Exford Lumpy was quick to begin.

Duty Sheet was slow to begin.

Moore Of Moore, Folding Green and King Royale collided soon after the start checking all three greyhounds, King Royal lost considerable ground as a result. Duty Sheet and Moore Of Moore collided on the first turn checking Duty Sheet. Whalephant and Woodleigh Bond collided approaching the home turn checking Woodleigh Bond. Moore Of Moore checked off Woodleigh Bond approaching the home turn. Duty Sheet pulled up in the home straight and failed to finish.

Stewards spoke to Mr. A. Mooney, the trainer of the greyhound Duty Sheet regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight. Duty Sheet was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound suffered mild thumps. No stand down period was imposed. Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged Duty Sheet with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury).  Mr. Mooney pleaded guilty to the charge, Duty Sheet was found guilty and stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a),  before any future nomination will be accepted.

King Royale was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the left triceps. A stand down period of 14 days was imposed.

Subsequent to the race, Trainer Mr S Jack reported concerns that the track surface was too firm. Steward's noted Mr Jack's concerns but were satisfied with the condition of the surface. 

Jellybean Jess was a late scratching at 6:40am due to illness (GAR 23).  A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted. 

Test Pilot was slow to begin.
