Steward's Report
Mr G. Graham, trainer of Woodleigh Blaze declared a new weight of 35.5kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Woodleigh Blaze last raced at 34.3kgs.
A pre-race sample was taken from Mandela Sun.
Dr. Luvdisc and Woodleigh Blaze were slow to begin.
Mini Tron crossed in approaching the first turn checking Bandit's Girls, Queen Dunroaming and Birkenhead. Bandit's Girls and Rooey collided on the home turn checking Mandela Sun and severely checking Bikenhead and Rooey causing Rooey to fall.
Rooey was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right calf and right monkey muscle injuries and bruising to the right calf, a 10 day stand down period was imposed.
Dr. Luvdisc was vetted following the event. it was reported that the greyhound sustained an abrasion to the left hind tibia, a 3 day stand down period was imposed.
