Full Of Boloney was slow to begin. Bomber Marlow and Oriental Binga collided soon after the start, checking Oriental Binga. Kryptonian checked off Bomber Marlow on the first turn. Bomber Marlow checked off Kalahari Sands approaching the home turn, checking Ikon Parker. Kalahari Sands raced wide on the home turn.

Satisfactory Trial Results (GAR 77A) - Stewards spoke to Atlantic Rose, the trainer of Mr Clifford Smith, regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced. Atlantic Rose last raced on 24 February 2017. Mr Smith stated that the greyhound was new to the kennel and had been on season. Pursuant to GAR 77A, Atlantic Rose trialled over the 410m from box one, weight 25.4 kgs, the greyhound was placed fourth in a field of four. The time of the trial was 24:38, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 9.25. Atlantic Rose was Not Cleared.
