Al's Luck was slow to begin. In The Net galloped on the heels of Crymelon Kit soon after the start, checking Miracles Happen. Con Rod, Bush Princess and Jim's Hotel collided on the first turn, checking Bush Princess and Al's Luck. Con Rod and Jim's Hotel collided on the home turn, causing Con Rod to fall, checking Miracles Happen and Al's Luck.
Con Rod was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained soreness to the left shoulder and both thighs, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.
