The start of this race was delayed by approximately 45 seconds to allow track staff to clear the track.
A pre race sample was taken from Charlie Rocket.
Jack's Rainbow was slow to begin. Rellim Diesel, Solar Mocha, Petra Allen, Charlie Rocket and Don Lesta collided soon after the start, checking Petra Allen. Rellim Diesel, Charlie Rocket and Solar Mocha collided approaching the first turn, checking Solar Mocha and Charlie Rocket. Solar Mocha, Charlie Rocket and Dashing Impulse collided on the first turn, checking Dashing Impulse. Merc raced wide on the home turn, checking Don Lesta. Merc and Don Lesta collided several times in the home straight.
