A pre-race sample was taken from Baroom Counsel upon arrival at the course, prior to kennelling.
Two Dollar Pots and Mac were quick to begin. Doc's Reward was slow to begin. Zipping Paris and Lady Charlotte collided soon after the start. Zipping Paris, Lady Charlotte, Doc's Reward and Barroom Counsel collided on the first turn checking Doc's Reward and Barroom Counsel. Two Dollar Pots and Zipping Paris colided in the back straight. Two Dollar Pots, Aston Grace and Lady Charlotte collided on the second turn. Mac and Zipping Paris collided on the home turn. Two Dollar Pots galloped on Lady Charlotte entering the home straight.
