A pre-race sample was taken from Mr. Alfie.
Fab Dream and Mr. Alfie collided on the first turn checking Mr. Alfie. Nitro Power faltered in the back straight and tailed off. Wise Harry and Just A Dot collided approaching the home turn. Mr. Alfie checked of Wise Harry in the home straight.
Nitro Power was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the right monkey muscle. A stand down period of 10 days was imposed.
