Oakmont Fire was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the right tensor fascia (triangle) muscle and flexor tendon. A seven-day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr Michael Said regarding his difficulty in boxing the greyhound Here's The Trump. Stewards directed that Here's The Trump be boxed first in future events. Stewards further spoke to Mr Said and issued him with a warning in regard to momentarily losing control of the greyhound at the starting boxes whilst boxing the greyhound, pursuant to GAR 27(1).

Habana City was vetted following the event. it was reported that the greyhound sustained a fracture to the left scapula, an injury to the right tensor fascia (triangle) muscle, and a spike wound to the left hind. A 28-day stand down period was imposed.

Ms Jan Brooks, trainer of Nikita's Blaze declared a new weight of 27.7kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Nikita's Blaze last raced at 29.0.

Ms Jan Brooks approached Stewards after retrieving Nikita's Blaze from the kennels in preperation for this event with concerns for the greyhounds welfare. Nikita's Blaze was subsequesntly vetted and was a late scratching at 3:10pm due to the greyhound having diarrhoea. A ten-day stand down period was imposed.

First Target and Buckle Up Scotch was slow to begin.

Liberty Diamond checked off Zafonic Express approaching the first turn. Buckle Up Scotch, Wicked Hilary and Dane Daisy collided on the first turn, checking Wicked Hillary and Dane Daisy. Liberty Diamond and First Target collided approaching the home turn. Liberty Diamond and Buckle Up Scotch collided entering the home turn. Wicked Hillary checked Buckle Up Scotch collided in the home turn. Wicked Hillary, Buckle Up Scotch and Dane Daisy collided approaching the winning post, checking all three greyhounds.

Dane Daisy was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the right hind toe. A seven-day stand down period was imposed.

After viewing all vision available for this event Stewards issued a warning to Ms Jan Brooks, the trainer of Dane Daisy, regarding the greyhound’s racing manners approaching the winning post.

A sample was taken from No Guarantees, the winner of the event.

Letty Bee was a late scratching at 8:17am due to injury(GAR 23).  A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted.

Satisfactory Trial Results (Blinkers) - Little Big Girl trialled over the 400m from box two, weight 25.3kg, the greyhound was placed third in a field of six. The time of the trial was 22.99, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 8.25L. Little Big Girl was cleared to race in blinkers.

Satisfactory Trial Results - Halloweenie trialled over the 400m from box five, weight 32.2kg, the greyhound was placed last in a field of six. The time of the trial was 22.99, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 21L. Halloweenie was not cleared.

Satisfactory Trial Results - Flash Bobbie trialled over the 400m from box six, weight 29.8kg, the greyhound was placed fifth in a field of six. The time of the trial was 22.99, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 10.25L. Flash Bobbie was cleared.
