Steward's Report
A trial of the GRV-endorsed ISO-LYNX real-time tracking system was conducted throughout today's racing program. All race rugs used today were fitted with a location tracking beacon as part of this trial.
Capaldi was slow to begin. Royal Solo went up with the lids at box rise and was slow to begin.
Chief Paddy and Crystal Bling collided soon after the start. Galloping Tina checked off Chief Paddy approaching the first turn. Chief Paddy, Crystal Bling and Miss Bea collided on the first turn. Royal Solo and Capaldi collided on the first turn.
Capaldi, which performed below market expectations, was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained no apparent injury. No stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to trainer A. Langton, who reported that Capaldi, which was having its first race start, had trialled only fairly leading into today's event and in her opinion would benefit from the experience of today's run.
A sample was taken from Crystal Bling, the winner of the event.
