Steward's Report
Aston Upton was slow to begin. Invictus Ester crossed in approaching the first turn checking Aye Chit Chat and Aye Milo. Aye Milo and Aye Chit Chat collided on the first turn checking Aye Milo. Bliss Street eased on the first turn and collided with Soap. Bliss Street and Soap collided approaching the home turn. Bliss Street failed to pursue the lure on the home turn and collided with Soap. Invictus Ester, Aston Upton and Soap collided approaching the winning post.
Stewards spoke to Mr. G. Orr, the trainer of the greyhound Bliss Street regarding the greyhound's racing manners on the home turn. Bliss Street was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a left monkey muscle injury, a 10 day stand down period was imposed. Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the Stewards charged Bliss Street with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr. Orr pleaded not guilty to the charge, Bliss Street was found guilty and stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.
