Sublime News was quick to begin.  Mumma's Meatloaf, Kayley's Comet and Cha Ching Ching were slow to begin.

Mumma's Meatloaf and Alex The Seal collided on the first turn.  Sublime News and Galantis collided on the first turn.  Cha Ching Ching, Galantis, Sublime News and Federal Agent collided entering the back straight checking Sublime News.  Mumma's Meatloaf and Kayley's Comet collided approaching the third turn.  Galantis galloped on Sublime News off the back straight checking Sublime News.  Mumma's Meatloaf and Sublime News collided entering the home straight, Sublime News brushed the running rail as a result.

Alex The Seal was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a left side of the neck injury, no stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Ms B. Franklin, the trainer of Alex The Seal.  Stewards deemed the performance of Alex The Seal unsatisfactory in this event and acting in accordance with GAR 71. Stewards directed that Alex The Seal must preform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Blackhawk Dee and Good Luck Mark collided soon after the start.  Mac's Intention and Katlin collided on the first turn.

Stewards noted that the lure distance from the leading greyhound appeared to be around 4 metres (less than the minimum 5metres required under GAR55(1)) on part of the first turn. Stewards were satisfied that the variance in distance did not cause substantial inconvenience to any greyhound and did not affect the outcome of the Event.  Stewards also spoke to the Lure Driver.

Kraken Ridge was a late scratching at 2.27pm due to the greyhound being on season (GAR 24). A 28 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr B Fothergill, the trainer of greyhound Dessy Fozz regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Dessy Fozz last raced on 14 April 2017. Mr Fothergill stated the greyhound had been recovering from a foot/toe injury.

Pursuant to GAR 104 (6) Mr B Groom, Starter, did not act in any official capacity for this event.  Ms B. Van Taarlang acted as Starter for this event.

This event was delayed by approximately 1 min due to the late arrival to the start.

Speedy Ryder, Shaun's Entity and Dessy Fozz were quick to begin.  Minotaur was very slow to begin (5 lengths).

Stewards spoke to Mr G Berry, the trainer of greyhound I've Got Bills regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. I've Got Bills last raced on 04 April 2017. Mr Berry stated the greyhound had been spelling.

I've Got Bills was a late scratching at 6.47pm on advice of the Club's Veterinary Surgeon due to a mouth laceration injury. A 3 day stand down period was imposed.

World's On Fire and Dragon's Den were quick to begin.

Dragon's Den and Iceni Menace collided approaching the first turn.  Avatar Wolf checked off Kazmic's Spirit approaching the first turn.  Avatar Wolf galloped on Dragon's Den on the first turn.  Dragon's Den and Reverend John collided approaching the home turn and again on the home turn.

Satisfactory Trial Results - All Inn Genghis trialled over the 390m from box #3,weight 35.1kgs, the greyhound was placed 2nd in a field of four (4). The time of the trial was 22.45, the greyhound was beaten a margin of 2.5 lengths. All Inn Genghis was Cleared.
