Better Way, It Is Done, Luka's Choice and Klondike Gold were slow to begin.  Better Way, It Is Done and Luka's Choice collided soon after the start checking Better Way and It Is Done.  Beckio Fozzio and Latifi Zeina collided approaching the home turn.  Better Way galloped on the heels of Cullquin Jethro in the home straight checking both greyhounds.  It Is Done and Luka's Choice collided approaching the winning post.

Stewards spoke to Mr B Lord, trainer of Buck's Express, who had difficulties loading the greyhound.  Mr Lord has been recovering from surgery and was unexpectedly pushed off balance by the greyhound.  He will consider if he needs to enagage an Attendant in the future.  No further action.  

Lodge's Express was quick to begin.  Spring Slater was slow to begin.  Tat Tubby and Mya Memories collided approaching the first turn checking Mya Memories.  Spring Slater and Berridale Buddie collided approaching the home turn checking Spring Slater.  Tat Tubby checked off Scott Finesse in the home straight.  Mya Memories, Bryden Peter and Spring Slater raced wide in the home straight.

Stewards spoke to Mr L Mottram, representing the trainer of Running Yards regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Running Yards last raced on 21 March 2017.  Mr Mottram stated that it was due to a change of kennel.  Mr Mottram also declared a new weight of 33.2 for Running Yards in accordance with GAR 39(2). Running Yards last raced at 35.2kgs.

Running Yards, Tat Odin and Reverend John were slow to begin.  Fred's My Name and Scott Pizzazz collided on the first turn checking Fred's My Name.  Tat Minnie and Reverend John collided approaching the home turn.  Claretown Boris checked off Cruising Suzie approaching the home turn.  Tat Minnie and Reverend John collided in the home straight.  Cruising Suzie raced wide in the home straight.

Mr P Gabriel, trainer of Foxy Whip declared a new weight of 27.4kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Foxy Whip last raced at 25.6kg.

Stevron Autos went up with the lids at box rise and was slow to begin.  Foxy Whip was slow to begin.  Banjo Barbie and Fancy Bounce collided approaching the first turn checking Banjo Barbie.  Quick Collision and Oriental Lord collided on the home turn.  Stevron Autos and Foxy Whip collided on the home turn.  Fancy Bounce and Stevron Autos collided approaching the winning post.

Coopnarcha, Jesterday and Break The Code were slow to begin.  Indy's Chant and Break The Code collided on the home turn.

Jesterday was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.  Stewards spoke to Mr A. Marum, Trainer of Jesterday regarding the greyhound's performance which was below market expectations.  Mr Marum stated that Jesterday was slow to begin and had not raced for 8 weeks.

Horey's Girl was slow to begin.  Calen and Horey's Girl collided approaching the first turn and again on the first turn checking Calen.  Hammer Head checked off Atlas Roughead approaching the home turn.  Calen and Horey's Girl collided approaching the home turn.  Atlas Roughead and Hammer Head raced wide in the home straight.

Meeting Conditions:

Proven Legacy trialled over the 390m from Box 1, weight 26.2kg, the greyhound was placed 1st in a field of 4.The time of the trial was 22.25, the greyhound won by a margin of 3 lengths.  Proven Legacy was Cleared.

Stewards spoke to Mr V. Mileto, Trainer of Ducasse regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced.  Ducasse last raced on 17 October, 2016. Mr Mileto.stated that the greyhound was returning from injury.  Pursuant to GAR 77A, Ducasse trialled over the 390m from Box 8, weight 33.2kg, the greyhound was placed 2nd in a field of 4.  The time of the trial was 22.25, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 3 lengths.  Ducasse was cleared.
