A pre race sample was taken from Hurricane Patch.

Extra Kisses and Hurricane Patch were quick to begin.  Sultan's Girl was slow to begin.  I'm Neegan and Hurricane Elyse collided approaching the first turn.  Sultan's Pride and Sultan's Girl crossed out on the first turn and raced wide throughout the event.

Taylor Taylor was a late scratching at 1:49pm on the advice of the Club’s Veterinary Surgeon due to illness. A  3 day stand down period was imposed.

Terry Towelling and Aminya Footsteps collided soon after the start.  Killara John, Tarika Tara and No Guarantees collided approaching the first turn.  Magic Muzza crossed in on the first turn causing Aminya Footsteps to gallop on Terry Towelling severely checking Aminya Footsteps, Killara John, Tarika Tara and No Guarantees.  Killara John and Tarika Tara collided entering the back straight checking Tarika Tara.  Zipping Foy raced wide in the back straight.  Tarika Tara and No Guarantees collided approaching the winning post.

A pre race sample was unable to be obtained from Tarika Tara; a post race sample was subsequently taken.

A pre race sample was taken from Smiley Bynes.

Smiley Bynes crossed in soon after the start checking Hello Mr Duck and severely checking Right Off Spot and Bonta Magic.  Hurricane Craig, Simbarea and Smiley Bynes collided approaching the first turn checking Hurricane Craig and Simbarea and severely checking Smiley Bynes; Hurricane Craig galloped on Dashing Magic as a result. Dashing Magic faltered on the first turn checking Simbarea. Simbarea and Smiley Bynes collided on the first turn. Smiley Bynes crossed out on the first turn checking Right Off Spot and severely checking Simbarea and Dashing Magic; Dashing Magic subsequently tailed off.

Dashing Magic was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right wrist injury, a 28 day stand down period was imposed.

Smiley Bynes was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found. 

A sample was taken from Poisen Pen - the winner of the event.

Stewards spoke to Mrs Tammy Kennedy-Harris regarding the racing manners of Smiley Bynes on the first turn. Mrs Kennedy-Harris stated, in her opinion the greyhound had suffered interference and become unbalanced. After viewing all available video footage, stewards noted the explanation and took no further action.

A pre race sample was taken from Will Dazzle.

Jetmag Storm, Folding Green and Starlit Dragon were slow to begin.  La Petite crossed to the rail on the first turn checking Merchant Prince severely checking Jetmag Storm and Grey Grouse causing Folding Green to fall; Starlit Dragon stumbled as a result and subsequently tailed off.  Queen Dunroaming and Will Dazzle collided entering the back straight.  Merchant Prince and La Petite collided on the second turn checking La Petite.  Merchant Prince and Will Dazzle collided on the home turn.

Folding Green was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Starlit Dragon was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Dr. Yuki was a late scratching at 12:36pm due to the greyhound being on season (GAR 24). A 28 day stand down period was imposed.

Dr. Condor was slow to begin.  Row Tay Tom and Diamond Delight collided soon after the start.  Artistic Alyssa and Zulu Zoe collided approaching the first turn checking Artistic Alyssa, Row Tay Tom, Diamond Delight and Call Me Matt.  Zulu Zoe and Call Me Matt collided on the first turn.  Orataya and Diamond Delight collided on the first turn.  Dr. Condor and Call Me Matt collided approaching the second turn.

A pre race sample was taken from Ivanka Rose.

Ivanka Rose was quick to begin.  Mirror Reality, Mister Blue, Dulcet Sound and Barroom Promise were slow to begin.  Shakey Jet and Bogie Tiara collided soon after the start.  Bogie Tiara checked off Mister Blue on the second turn.  Lochinvar Rox checked off Ivanka Rose in the back straight.  Mirror Reality and Mister Blue collided in the back straight.  Mirror Reality and Mister Blue collided on the third turn checking both greyhounds.

Soda Storm was slow to begin.  Moore Of Darcy and Arrow Allen collided soon after the start checking Arrow Allen and Oriental Lord.  Arrow Allen and Oriental Lord collided on the first turn checking Oriental Lord and Soda Storm.  Joni Sunset and Bending Bananas collided on the first turn.  Oriental Lord and Soda Storm collided on the home turn.

A pre race sample was taken from Paua Hiking.

Oakmont Whisper was slow to begin.  Ablazin Mikado and Elite Shiraz collided soon after the start checking Banjo Barbie.  Oakmont Whisper and Elite Shiraz collided on the first turn.  Banjo Barbie and Precious Quality raced wide on the first turn and again approaching the second turn.  Precious Quality raced wide in the back straight.  Elite Shiraz galloped on Ablazin Mikado on the third turn checking Elite Shiraz, causing Oakmont Whisper to gallop on Elite Shiraz as a result checking Oakmont Whisper.

A pre race sample was taken from My Dolly Molly.

Goorawin was quick to begin.  Simply Good and Big Burkey were slow to begin.  My Dolly Molly and Destructo Rat collided soon after the start.  Cruella Deville, My Dolly Molly,  Destructo Rat and Big Burkey collided on the first turn checking My Dolly Molly.  Destructo Rat and Simply Good collided approaching the home turn.

Shackleton was vetted prior to the running of this event after the greyhound was injured whilst being loaded into the boxes. Acting on veterinary advice, Shackleton was a late scratching at 5:50pm due to a right fore toe injury. A 3 day stand down period was imposed. 

Subseqent to the late scratching, all greyhounds were removed from the boxes, vetted and passed fit to run. Following these delays the event ran approximately 6 minutes late.

Any Other Union was quick to begin.  Team Son was slow to begin.  Bronelly Spike and Brindle Audrey collided approaching the first turn.  Bless 'Em All and Any Other Union collided on the first turn.  Bless 'Em All and Rylies Jack collided in the back straight.  Bronelly Spike checked off Rylies Jack approaching the home turn.

A sample was taken from Karise Fusileer - the winner of the event.

Riverside Kim and Dr. Dunstan collided soon after the start checking Dr. Dunstan.  Text Me Tony clipped the heels of It's All Bolony on the first turn checking both greyhounds.  Classy Gun and Riverside Kim collided approaching the home turn checking Riverside Kim.
