This event was delayed by one and a half minutes, due to a trotting event running behind schedule at Maryborough.

Stewards spoke to Trainer, Mr Tony Duncan, regarding the presentation of an incorrect greyhound and then presenting the correct greyhound All Inn Amy.  In the circumstances, Stewards issued a warning to Mr Duncan to maintain a stricter system at his kennels. 

Jordy Paige was quick to begin.  Lord Kitchener was slow to begin.  Banjo Barbie and Cosmic Spur collided soon after the start.  Banjo Barbie, Cosmic Spur and Kraken Tobias collided approaching the first turn.  Bombshell Bandit, Cosmic Spur and Kraken Tobias collided on the first turn.  Scarecrow Max and Jordy Paige collided on the first turn.  Kraken Tobias galloped on Bombshell Bandit on the first turn, severely checking Bombshell Bandit.

Bombshell Bandit was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Silver Wing was a late scratching at 2:17 pm on the advice of the Club’s Veterinary Surgeon, due to an elevated temperature.  A seven day stand down period was imposed.

Satisfactory Trial Results (GAR 77A) - Stewards spoke to Mr Kevin Eyles, the trainer of Kraken Conan, regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced. Kraken Conan last raced on 28 October 2015.  Mr Eyles stated that whelped a litter.  Pursuant to GAR 77A, Kraken Conan trialled over the 390m from box one, weight 26.9 kgs, the greyhound was placed third in a field of four.  The time of the trial was 22:43, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of three lengths.  Kraken Conan was Cleared.

Satisfactory Trial Results - Miss Barbados trialled over the 390m from box three, weight 23.6 kgs, the greyhound was placed second in a field of four.  The time of the trial was 22:43, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of one and a half lengths.  Miss Barbados was Cleared. 

Satisfactory Trial Results - Wait There trialled over the 390m from box eight, weight 30.9 kgs, the greyhound was placed first in a field of four.  The time of the trial was 22:43, the greyhound won by a margin of one and a half lengths.  Wait There was Cleared. 

Satisfactory Trial Results - Buckle Up Eve trialled over the 450m from box six, weight 27.5 kgs, the greyhound was placed fifth in a field of five.  The time of the trial was 25:91, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of eight lengths.  Buckle Up Eve was Cleared.
