Luke's Gift was a late scratching at 8.12 AM due to a toe injury (GAR 23).  A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted. 

Wye Belena was slow to begin.  Padma Grange and Hawkess collided soon after start and approaching the first turn.  Wye Belena and Padma Grange collided on the first turn, checking Wye Belena.

Scott Lucky was quick to begin.  Vanity Affair checked off Rocketness approaching the first turn.  Dunnstown Kev raced wide on the home turn.

Dunnstown Kev was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Stewards spoke to Ms. D. White, the trainer of Church Parade regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Church Parade last raced on the 27th of February, 2017. Ms. White stated that Church Parade is returning to racing from a spell.

Stewards spoke to Mr. V. Borg, the trainer of Aberdeen Rebel regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Aberdeen Rebel last raced on the 2nd of March, 2017. Mr. Borg stated that Aberdeen Rebel is returning to racing from a change of kennel. 

Pharoah's Dream was very slow to begin (6 lengths) and tailed off.  Church Parade and Aberdeen Rebel collided on the first turn checking Church Parade.  Coolatai Lass and Strength To Wyn collided approaching the winning post.

The Club Veterinary Surgeon examined Countess Carlow and no illness was detected. The greyhound was a late scratching at 8.47 AM due to weight variation (GAR 39). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer Mr. P. Brown was fined the sum of $100.

Centrefire Twist and Like Lily were quick to begin and collided soon after the start.  Centrefire Twist checked off Like Lily on the first turn.  Zephyric and Good Luck Mick collided approaching the home turn.  Zephyric and Centrefire Twist collided several times in the home straight, checking both greyhounds.
