Steward's Report
Dark Chance was a late scratching at 6:05pm on the advice of the Club’s Veterinary Surgeon due to illness. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr A.Rocke, the trainer of Cheeky Danae regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Cheeky Danae last raced on 30 December, 2015. Mr Rocke stated that the greyhound was returning to racing after being on season.
A pre race sample was taken from Cheeky Danae.
Cheeky Danae and Bamba Lam Barney were slow to begin. Helma Bale stumbled at box rise and was slow to begin. Angel Of Glory and Come To Light collided soon after the start. Angel Of Glory and Bamba Lam Barney collided approaching the first turn and again on the first turn checking both greyhounds. Cheeky Danae and Road Driller collided on the first turn checking Cheeky Danae. Cheeky Danae and Helma Bale collided approaching the home turn. Cheeky Danae checked off Road Driller in the home straight. Cheeky Danae checked off Come To Light approaching the winning post.
