Chavasse, Hightan and Manitoba were slow to begin.
Garick Olivander, Lektra Val and Atomic Kitten collided soon after the start checking Atomic Kitten. Atomic Kitten, Sweet Mary and Chavasse collided approaching the first turn. Garick Olivander and Kouta And Cream collided approaching the first turn. Manitoba, Atomic Kitten, Sweet Mary and Chavasse collided on the first turn checking Chavasse. Lektra Val and Kouta And Cream collided approaching the home turn. Sweet Mary and Manitoba collided several times approaching the home turn on the home turn and again entering the home straight.
Sweet Mary was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained split webbing and abrasions, a 21 day stand down period was imposed.
