The Club Veterinary Surgeon examined Our Rocket and no illness was detected. The greyhound was a late scratching at 11.06 am due to weight variation (GAR 39). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer Ms. A Peak was fined the sum of $100.

Stewards spoke to handler Mr J. La Rosa regarding the difficulty in boxing the greyhound Oriental Lord.  Stewards directed that Oriental Lord be boxed first in future events.

Satisfactory Trial Results - Pupetta Maresca trialled over the 450m from box 1, weight 25kg, the greyhound was placed 2nd in a field of five. The time of the trial was 25.98, the greyhound was beaten a margin of 2L. Pupetta Maresca was Cleared. 

Satisfactory Trial Results - Cette To Dance trialled over the 450m from box 2, weight 27.7kg, the greyhound was placed 4th in a field of five. The time of the trial was 25.98, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 4.5L. Cette To Dance was Cleared. 

Satisfactory Trial Results (GAR 77A) - Stewards spoke to Mr. P. Santoro, the trainer of  Lee I Am regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced.  Lee I Am last raced on 14th September 2016. Mr. Santoro stated that Lee I Am was retrurning to race after suffering a right stopper bone injury.  Pursuant to GAR 77A, Lee I Am trialled over the 450m from box 3 weight 34.9kg, the greyhound was placed 1st in a field of five. The time of the trial was 25.98, the greyhound won by a margin of 2L. Lee I Am was Cleared.

Satisfactory Trial Results - Umbridge Bale trialled over the 450m from box 5, weight 33kg, the greyhound was placed 5th in a field of five. The time of the trial was 25.98, the greyhound tailled off in the home straight. Umbridge Bale was Not Cleared. 

Satisfactory Trial Results - Zambora Pride trialled over the 450m from box 7, weight 28.7kg the greyhound was placed 3rd in a field of five. The time of the trial was 25.98, the greyhound was beaten a margin of 3.75L. Zambora Pride was Cleared.
