Roland View was slow to begin.
Busta Voe crossed to the rail soon after the start, checking Jesse's Typhoon and Fallen Star. Retention and Busta Voe collided approaching the first turn, checking Retention. Jesse's Typhoon and Fallen Star collided on the first turn. Burnsy's Sam, Roland View and Busta Voe collided approaching the home turn, checking Burnsy's Sam. Jesse's Typhoon checked off Retention entering the home straight. Fallen Star raced wide in the home turn.
MEETING COMMENTS
Satisfactory Trial Results (GAR 77A) - Stewards spoke to Ms Leanne Hall, the trainer of Raise The Bet, regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced. Raise The Bet last raced on 30 August 2016. Ms Hall stated that Raise The Bet had been recovering from a back injury. Pursuant to GAR 77A, Raise The Bet trialled over the 400m from box one, weight 32.2kg, the greyhound was placed first in a field of four. The time of the trial was 22.89, the greyhound won by a margin of 2L. Raise The Bet was cleared.
Satisfactory Trial Results - She's Smoking trialled over the 460m from box eight, weight 24.5kg, the greyhound pulled up and failed to finish and was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained no apparent injury. She's Smoking was not cleared.
Satisfactory Trial Results - Deano's Smidge trialled over the 460m from box one, weight 33.3kg, the greyhound was placed first in a field of four.The time of the trial was 26.13, the greyhound won by a margin of 3.5L. Deano's Smidge was cleared.
