Pursuant to GAR 104(6) run back gate operator Mr. A. Kleeven did not act in any official capacity for this event.
Gresham was quick to begin. It's A Lie, Elite Cheeky, Beaver Neveelk and Poppy's Way collided soon after the start checking Poppy's Way. Give Me Wings and Elite Cheeky collided approaching the first turn and again on the first turn checking Give Me Wings. It's A Lie, Where's Lachie and Gresham collided on the first turn checking Where's Lachie. Beaver Neveelk raced wide approaching the second turn checking Isabella Girl. Poppy's Way raced wide approaching the second turn. Elite Cheeky and Where's Lachie collided approaching the second turn checking Elite Cheeky, Where's Lachie and Poppy's Way. Isabella Girl crossed to the rail on the second turn checking Where's Lachie. Give Me Wings was checked off Isabella Girl on the second turn. Elite Cheeky and Beaver Neveelk collided approaching the third turn. Elite Cheeky marred Beaver Neveelk on the third turn checking Beaver Neveelk and Where's Lachie. It's A Lie, Isabella Girl, Gresham and Give Me Wings collided approaching the winning post checking It's A Lie.

Stewards spoke to Mrs. R. Busuttil the owner of the greyhound Elite Cheeky regarding the greyhound's racing manners on the third turn. Acting under GAR 69(1) Stewards charged Elite Cheeky with marring, Mrs. Busuttil pleaded guilty to the charge, Elite Cheeky was found guility and suspended for 28 days at Traralgon and it was directed that the greyhound perform a satisfactory trial all tracks pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
