A pre-race sample was taken from Xan Mai.
Ninetymile Toby was slow to begin and crossed to the outside soon after the start. Alexanderia and Call Me Deita collided soon after the start checking Alexanderia. Alexanderia checked off Tuscan Dream on the first turn. Ninetymile Toby and Tuscan Dream raced wide in the home straight. Alexanderia was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the right foreleg and right pecoral muscle. A stand down period of 7 days was imposed.
