A pre race sample was taken from Shep.
Shep and Six Green Thumbs collided approaching the first turn. Barry Bomber, Yuken Duet, Spring Bobbi, Spring Bomber and Jack's Rainbow collided on the first turn, checking Barry Bomber, Yuken Duet, Spring Bobbi and Spring Bomber. Barry Bomber, Spring Bobbi and Yuken Duet collided on the first turn, checking Yuken Duet. Spring Bobbi and Spring Bomber raced wide in the home straight. Unbackable failed to pursue the lure with due commitment in the home straight and collided with Shep, checking Shep and Jack's Rainbow.
Jack's Rainbow was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
Stewards spoke to Mr M Filomeno, the trainer of the greyhound Unbackable regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight. Unbackable was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured right monkey muscle, a 10 day stand down period was imposed. Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged Unbackable with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr Filomeno pleaded guilty to the charge, Unbackable was found guilty and stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.
