Magic Dance was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right hindleg pencil/whip injury, a 14 day stand down period was imposed .

Crump's Legend was a late scratching at 1:11 pm, due to soreness (GAR 23).  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.  Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted.

Stewards spoke to Mr T Erenshaw, the trainer of Flying Cash, regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Flying Cash last raced on the 19 of January 2017.  Mr Erenshaw stated that Flying Cash is returning to racing from being on season.

On Billy's Wings was a late scratching at 6:02 pm on the advice of the Club’s Veterinary Surgeon, due to a left fibula injury.  A 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Wilbur was a late scratching at 5:34 pm on the advice of the Club’s Veterinary Surgeon, due to an elevated temperature.  A five day stand down period was imposed.

Mo Green was a late scratching at 5:43 pm on the advice of the Club’s Veterinary Surgeon, due to an elevated temperature.  A five day stand down period was imposed.

Mr M Gray was fined the sum of $50 for failing to ensure the registration card was produced for the greyhound, Iceni Menace, pursuant to GAR 33.

Prior to the start of Race 12 a bank of lights went out in the vicinity of the home turn, casting a large shadow onto the race track. All greyhounds returned to the kennel bay whilst Stewards along with Club staff inspected the affected area. In consultation with Club staff, Stewards established that there was no expectation of a timely resolution and subsequently abandoned Race 12 at 10.47 PM.
