Last Outlaw checked off Reignlee on the first turn severely checking Dazzling Diva. Kirabilli Dawson and Half Moon Rising collided on the first turn checking Kirabilli Dawson and Reignlee. Kirabilli Dawson checked off Reignlee on the home turn. Half Moon Rising and Yarraman Ace collided on the home turn. Half Moon Rising veered out and marred Yarraman Ace entering the home straight. Half Moon Rising and Yarraman Ace collided in the home straight.
Half Moon Rising was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
Yarraman Ace was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a spike wound to the right hind toes. No stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr. D. Baker, the trainer of the greyhound Half Moon Rising regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight. Acting under GAR 69(1) stewards charged Half Moon Rising with marring. Mr. Baker pleaded guilty to the charge, Half Moon Rising was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Bendigo and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
